SIMPLE House
(Serving Individuals Ministering to People Loving Everyone)
Simple House is a food ministry Westlink supports. Central Church of Christ oversees the project and Kathleen Morrison is director. Several other churches in Wichita contribute grocery items to SIMPLE House for distribution to those in need. Westlink is one of the largest and most frequently contributing congregations. Simple House averages about 20 clients a week with the peak of requests coming near the end of each month.
People outside of Westlink who would like help at Simple House should first contact
the Salvation Army. Each client coming to Simple House must have a referral sheet
from the Salvation Army to obtain grocery items. Those with the Westlink family
only need to take a letter from the church office. Grocery help is available once
a month and the amount depends on the size of the family and the groceries on hand.
Current hours are Monday 12:30 to 3:00 PM, Tuesday 9:30 to 1:30 PM and Thursday
evening 7:00 to 8:00 PM. If you would like to volunteer at simple house call Kathleen
